When it comes to women’s golf, Nelly Korda stands out as one of the biggest names on the circuit. Throughout 2024, the American golfer claimed an impressive seven LPGA Tour titles in just 16 starts. However, she is not the only talented golfer in the Korda family. Her sister, Jessica Korda, is also a six-time LPGA Tour winner who is currently on a break from the sport following the birth of her first child in February 2024. Jessica is now eyeing a return in 2026 after taking some time off to recover and adjust to motherhood.

Jessica Korda’s last victory on the LPGA Tour was at the 2021 Tournament of Champions. Since then, she has been focusing on her health and her new role as a mother. The LPGA Tour’s maternity policy allows players up to 24 months from the date of their child’s birth before they are expected to return to competition. Jessica recently spoke about her desire to get back on the course, admitting that it has been challenging to get back into golf shape after taking more than a year off from hitting balls.

Despite her time away from competitive golf, Jessica Korda has had a successful career, with her first LPGA Tour win coming at the 2012 Women’s Australian Open. She has also represented Team USA in the Solheim Cup three times, showcasing her skills on an international stage. Now, as she prepares for a potential return to the tour, Jessica is focused on regaining her strength and form to compete at the highest level once again.

While Jessica Korda is taking her time to recover and assess her readiness to return to professional golf, other players on the women’s circuit have decided to retire in 2024. Lexi Thompson, Marina Alex, Ally Ewing, and Amy Olson are among the golfers who have announced their retirements after successful careers in the sport. As the landscape of women’s golf continues to evolve, fans can look forward to the return of talented players like Jessica Korda, who are determined to make a comeback and compete at the highest level once again.
