The 2024 FedEx Cup Playoffs are set to kick off, with millions of dollars on the line for the players competing in this series of playoff tournaments. The PGA Tour champion will be awarded the FedEx Cup and a hefty sum of prize money at the end of the playoffs. This article will provide an overview of the FedEx Cup Playoffs, including the format, schedule, prize money, and how to watch the action.

The FedEx Cup Playoffs consist of three stroke-play tournaments, with the top 70 players in the FedEx Cup standings qualifying for the first event, the FedEx St. Jude Championship. The top 50 players following the FedEx St. Jude will then earn tee times at the BMW Championship, and the top 30 at the end of the BMW qualify for the Tour Championship finale. At the Tour Championship, players are awarded starting scores based on their FedEx Cup standings, with the player in the No. 1 position starting at 10 under par.

The schedule for the 2024 FedEx Cup Playoffs includes the FedEx St. Jude Championship from Aug. 15-18, the BMW Championship from Aug. 22-25, and the Tour Championship from Aug. 29 to Sept. 1. Each tournament has a significant purse, with the Tour Championship offering a whopping $100 million purse, including a $25 million winner’s share. Players will compete not only for prize money at the first two events but also for their total FedEx Cup bonuses at the Tour Championship.

Viewers can watch the 2024 FedEx Cup Playoffs on TV through NBC and Golf Channel, with Golf Channel airing the first two rounds and early weekend coverage, while NBC handles the primary broadcasts of the third and final rounds. Peacock and ESPN+ will provide streaming coverage, with Peacock airing simulcasts of Golf Channel and NBC’s TV coverage, and ESPN+ offering exclusive early coverage and featured group coverage throughout the playoffs.
