Palmares Ocean Living & Golf’s clubhouse has been nominated for the title of ‘Europe’s Best Clubhouse’ at the prestigious World Golf Awards. The clubhouse, designed by RCR Arquitectes, features stunning panoramic views of the Bay of Lagos and the nine-hole Praia loop. It offers golf and real-estate concierge services and is home to two restaurants, including the Michelin-star AL SUD.

AL SUD, headed by renowned chef Louis Anjos, serves Mediterranean cuisine with a local influence. The restaurant, which earned its Michelin star in just five months, focuses on using fresh ingredients sourced from the Algarve and its coastline. The clubhouse also offers a taster menu that highlights the daily seafood offerings from the auction in Sagres, providing guests with a unique dining experience.

The World Golf Awards 2024 will take place in November, and Palmares’ clubhouse is among the venues competing for the title of ‘Europe’s Best Clubhouse.’ The venue is being recognized for its exceptional architecture, top-notch F & B offerings, excellent customer service, and beautiful setting overlooking the Bay of Lagos. The award nomination is a testament to the hard work of the team that makes the clubhouse a welcoming and enjoyable place for guests.

The prestigious World Golf Awards are voted on by industry professionals and consumers, with criteria including the quality of facilities, customer service, visitor experience, architecture and design, and location and setting. Palmares’ 27-hole golf course, redesigned by Robert Trent Jones Jr., is renowned for its challenging layout and stunning views of the ocean. The course features three distinct nine-hole loops – Alvor, Lagos, and Praia.

Palmares is managed by Details – Hospitality, Sports, Leisure – and is one of nine golf courses in Portugal managed by the group. Other courses managed by Details include Vilamoura, Aroeira, and Vale Pisão. In addition to its golf properties, the group also manages 16 hotels across the country. The clubhouse at Palmares offers a luxurious and inviting space for golfers and residents to unwind after a round of golf.

To show your support for Palmares at the World Golf Awards, you can vote for the venue as ‘Europe’s Best Golf Clubhouse 2024’ on the World Golf Awards website. The clubhouse stands out for its magnificent architecture, exceptional service, and breathtaking location overlooking the Bay of Lagos. Whether you are a golf enthusiast or a food lover, the clubhouse at Palmares offers a unique and unforgettable experience for all visitors.
