Toulon Golf has recently introduced their latest Small Batch putter, named Pinehurst. The inspiration behind this design comes from the 1999 United States Open at Pinehurst’s No. 2 course, where the champion, Payne Stewart, used a center-shafted blade putter to secure victory.

In creating the Pinehurst putter, Toulon aimed to pay tribute to Stewart’s preferred style of putter while incorporating elements from the various putters he used throughout his career. This design had to be purpose-built as a center-shafted putter, emphasizing a clean and simple alignment for golfers.

Key components of the Pinehurst putter design include the topline shape, width, and hosel blending with the top line to provide an unobstructed view of the leading edge for easy alignment. The back design of the putter was inspired by one of Stewart’s previous putters, with weight distribution optimized for forgiveness and increased blade length and width.

Toulon also focused on shaping the back shoulders and cavity with slightly concave contours and incorporated slow-machined milled micro grooves for enhanced performance. The finishing touches include the company’s logo in an art deco-inspired font and a custom tartan pattern on the sole, reflecting Stewart’s love for tartan.

The Small Batch Pinehurst putter features 904L stainless steel construction, a fine double fly cut face mill, and a Midnight Blue PVD finish. It comes with a custom Toulon Collection Dark Blue Pistol grip and a Chrome Stepless Steel shaft. The putter is available for purchase on Toulon Golf’s website for $1,800, with limited availability due to its exclusive nature.

Golf enthusiasts and collectors can now own a piece of golf history with the Toulon Small Batch Pinehurst putter, designed to commemorate Payne Stewart’s iconic victory at the 1999 US Open. With its unique design elements inspired by Stewart’s preferred putters and love for tartan, this limited edition putter is a tribute to one of the greatest golf tournaments ever contested at Pinehurst’s No. 2 course.

Players can experience the precision and performance of the Pinehurst putter, featuring innovative design features such as the topline shape, weight distribution for forgiveness, and slow-machined milled micro grooves. The putter’s custom tartan pattern and Midnight Blue PVD finish add a touch of elegance to its appearance, reflecting Stewart’s style and personality on the course.

Toulon Golf’s Small Batch Pinehurst putter represents a unique fusion of tradition and innovation in golf club design. By combining elements from Payne Stewart’s preferred putters with modern technology and craftsmanship, Toulon has created a timeless piece that pays homage to a legendary golfer and a historic moment in golf. Golfers looking for a special addition to their equipment collection can now acquire the Pinehurst putter and experience the performance and artistry that Toulon Golf is known for.
