Patrick Reed Aims for Ryder Cup Comeback in 2025

Patrick Reed, also known as Captain America for his Ryder Cup performances, is eager to return to the Team USA squad in 2025 and cause trouble for the Europeans at Bethpage Black. Despite finishing 11th in qualifying for the 2021 Ryder Cup, Reed was unable to make the team due to health concerns following a battle with bilateral pneumonia. He also missed the 2023 Ryder Cup after joining LIV Golf, but Keegan Bradley’s statement that he will select the best players from any tour has opened the door for Reed to make a comeback. Reed expressed his pleasure at Bradley’s open-minded approach to team selection and his desire to assemble the strongest squad possible.

Reed, who opposes the idea of players being paid to participate in the Ryder Cup, is eager to don the Team USA uniform once again and continue his tradition of rubbing the Europeans the wrong way. With an impressive 7-3-2 record from three Ryder Cups, including a perfect 3-0 record in singles matches, Reed is undoubtedly a strong candidate for Bradley’s captain’s picks. Reed remains optimistic about his chances of being included in the team now that Bradley has decided to choose players from any tour.

Having heard about Bradley’s commitment to selecting the best players for Team USA, Reed is excited about the opportunity to represent his country once again. He hopes for a chance to showcase his skills and contribute to the team’s success. Reed is looking forward to the possibility of being a nuisance to the European team and is determined to earn his spot through exceptional performance on the course. With a strong track record in the Ryder Cup, Reed is eager to continue his success and make a positive impact on the team.

With Bradley’s decision to prioritize talent and select players from different tours, Reed is confident in his ability to compete at the highest level and potentially earn a spot on the Ryder Cup team. Reed’s enthusiasm for the competition and his desire to represent Team USA are evident as he prepares to make a strong case for inclusion in the squad. As a seasoned Ryder Cup competitor, Reed understands the significance of the event and is keen to contribute to the team’s success. With his proven track record and competitive spirit, Reed is poised to make a significant impact on the 2025 Ryder Cup team, should he be selected.
