The Ras Al Khaimah Championship is the second International Swing event of the 2025 DP World Tour season, taking place at the Al Hamra Golf Club in the United Arab Emirates. This year marks the fourth edition of the tournament, with a total prize money payout of $2.5 million, 3,500 Race To Dubai points, and 1,000 Ryder Cup points up for grabs for the players. The winner of this week’s championship will take home $425,000, while the runner-up will bank $275,000. Even players finishing in the top-five will claim over $100,000, with at least $50,000 available for those finishing in the top-10.

The field at the Ras Al Khaimah Championship may not be as star-studded as the preceding Hero Dubai Desert Classic, but there are still high-profile golfers competing at Al Hamra. Players like Patrick Reed, a former Masters champion and three-time Ryder Cup participant, as well as Padraig Harrington, Jimmy Walker, Paul Waring, Ryan Fox, and Thomas Pieters, who have all claimed Rolex Series titles in recent years. Two of the three former winners of the Ras Al Khaimah Championship, Thorbjorn Olesen and Daniel Gavins, have also returned for another shot at glory.

The Al Hamra Golf Club, where the Ras Al Khaimah Championship is held, was designed by Peter Harradine and opened in 2007. The course boasts four inter-connected open water lagoons and measures almost 7,400 yards with a par of 72. The tournament offers players the opportunity to earn valuable Race To Dubai points and Ryder Cup points, as well as a significant cash prize for the winner and top finishers. With the 2025 LIV Golf League season set to kick off shortly, players are using events like the Ras Al Khaimah Championship to fine-tune their game before the new season begins.

The prize money payout for the Ras Al Khaimah Championship ranges from $425,000 for the winner to $10,760 for the player finishing in 50th place. This signifies an increase in the total purse from previous editions of the tournament, providing greater incentive for players to perform well. The tournament is an important stop on the DP World Tour schedule, offering players the opportunity to boost their rankings and earnings while competing at a challenging and picturesque course in the UAE. Overall, the Ras Al Khaimah Championship continues to grow in stature and significance within the world of professional golf.
