Sepp Straka is currently leading the 2025 AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am despite battling the flu. The tournament has a $20 million purse, which may be why he chose to play through his illness. Despite his health issues, Straka has been able to maintain his lead against some of the best players in the world.

Rory McIlroy, the World No. 3, has been a strong contender throughout the tournament and is only one shot behind Straka. However, Straka managed to regain the lead by making birdies on four of his final five holes in challenging wet and windy conditions. Straka’s ability to stay focused and in the moment despite his illness has been impressive.

Straka has had success on the PGA Tour in recent years, with three wins since 2022, including a victory at the American Express earlier in 2025. His performance at the Pebble Beach Pro-Am has solidified his position as a top contender on the Tour. However, he will face tough competition from major champions like Shane Lowry and Justin Rose, as well as World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, who is lurking just five shots behind.

Despite the difficult conditions and tough competition, Straka remains focused on executing his golf shots and staying in the moment. He believes that his illness may even be helping him by improving his focus and mental game. If Straka is able to hold on and win the tournament, he stands to earn a significant prize of $3.6 million.

The final round of the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am will be a test for Straka as he looks to secure a victory despite his flu-like symptoms. With major champions and top-ranked players close behind, the outcome of the tournament remains uncertain. Straka will need to maintain his focus and continue to execute his shots to emerge victorious in one of the most prestigious events on the PGA Tour.
