Prize Money Payout for the 2024 ISPS Handa Australian Open

The ISPS Handa Australian Open is a prestigious golf tournament that features both men and women playing in conjunction across two courses – Kingston Heath Golf Club and Victoria Golf Club in Melbourne. The men’s event is part of the DP World Tour, while the women’s tournament is overseen by the WPGA Tour of Australasia. The championships will take place simultaneously with alternating men’s and women’s groups for the first two rounds, before moving to Kingston Heath Golf Club for the final two rounds for those who make the cut. The total prize purse of AU$3.4m is split evenly between the men’s and women’s fields.

For the men, there is also the incentive of earning a place at next year’s Open, with the top three players not already exempt guaranteed a spot at the Royal Portrush Major. The prize money payout for the ISPS Handa Australian Open is significant, with the winner taking home $289,000 and a total of 65 places receiving prize money. The tournament features star names such as defending champion Joaquin Niemann, Cameron Smith, Lucas Herbert, Marc Leishman, Harry Higgs, Victor Perez, Min Woo Lee, and Cam Davis among others.

In the women’s event, star names include defending champion Ashleigh Buhai, two-time Major winner Minjee Lee, Hannah Green, Grace Kim, Stephanie Kyriacou, Danielle Kang, Jiyai Shin, and Jenny Shin. The tournament offers an exciting opportunity to see some of the best players in the world compete on two renowned golf courses in Australia. The action takes place over four rounds, with the first two rounds played across both courses and the final two rounds held exclusively at Kingston Heath Golf Club.
