Linnea Strom made history at the ShopRite LPGA Classic by posting the best final round in LPGA history. Despite starting the day seven shots behind, Strom managed to shoot a final round 60 to win the tournament by one stroke. This victory marks the first LPGA win for the 27-year-old Swede, who came into the week ranked 165th in the Rolex Rankings.

Strom’s win at the ShopRite LPGA Classic is a testament to never giving up and giving it your all. Despite not being in prime form coming into the tournament, Strom managed to put together an incredible performance on the final day. She admitted that her swing still needs work, but she was able to manage her game well and make the shots when it counted.

Strom’s final round included four birdies and a chip-in eagle on the front nine, as well as a flurry of birdies on the back nine to secure the victory. She needed just 20 putts to complete her round of 60, which is only the seventh round of 60 or better in LPGA history. Her performance at Seaview on Sunday was nothing short of spectacular.

After her round, Strom had to endure a long wait to see if any other players could catch her. Jenny Shin faltered, while Ayaka Furue and Meghan Khang made charges but fell short. Khang managed to tie Strom at 14 under but couldn’t capitalize on the final hole. In the end, Strom’s incredible final round secured her first LPGA victory.

Strom’s win at the ShopRite LPGA Classic is the largest final-round comeback by position on the LPGA over the last 40 years. Despite not expecting to win when she started the day, Strom remained focused and proud of her performance. Her victory is a remarkable accomplishment and adds to the list of Swedish women making miraculous comebacks in golf.

Overall, Strom’s win at the ShopRite LPGA Classic is a story of perseverance, determination, and skill. Her incredible final round performance will be remembered as one of the best in LPGA history. As she continues to work on her swing and improve her game, Strom’s victory serves as inspiration for all golfers to never give up and always give it their all on the course.
