If you are looking to play the best golf courses in Ohio, you have come to the right place. Our annual Golfweek’s Best ranking of public-access and private courses provides insights into the top courses in the state. The scores are averaged to create the Golfweek’s Best course rankings.

The list of public-access courses features courses that allow non-members to play, either through standard daily green fees, resorts, or affiliated hotels. These courses do not require a membership to book a tee time. The rankings include a variety of modern and classic courses, with a number preceding the designation indicating the course’s rank on the top 200 modern and classic courses in the U.S.

The best public-access courses in Ohio include Firestone (South) and Firestone (North) in Akron, Fowler’s Mill in Chesterland, Manakiki in Willoughby, The Virtues in Nashport, Firestone (Fazio) in Akron, Sleepy Hollow in Brecksville, Stonelick Hills in Batavia, The Quarry in Canton, and Deer Ridge Golf Club in Bellville. These courses offer a combination of modern and classic designs, providing a diverse range of playing experiences for golf enthusiasts.

On the private courses side, Ohio boasts some exceptional golfing destinations. Muirfield Village in Dublin tops the list, followed by Camargo Club in Indian Hill, The Golf Club in New Albany, Inverness Club in Toledo, and Scioto in Columbus.
