In his annual tradition, Justin Thomas shared his goals for 2024 and reflected on whether he achieved them. After a disappointing 2023 season, Thomas set his sights on redemption in 2024 but faced a mixed bag of results. While he did make it to the Tour Championship and ended the season 14th in the FedEx Cup standings with six top 10 finishes, he fell short of his main goals of securing a win or Major title. Additionally, Thomas missed out on the Presidents Cup, Olympics, and a top five spot in the Official World Golf Rankings.

Aside from event results, Thomas also set statistical targets for himself in various areas of his game. While he nearly achieved half of his goals, Thomas fell just short of his Strokes Gained: Putting target. However, with strong Scrambling stats and averages bettering par on par 3 and par 4 holes, it can be said that Thomas had a successful season overall. Reflecting on his performance, he expressed excitement for the upcoming season and highlighted areas for improvement.

Looking ahead to 2025, Thomas aims to build on his recent momentum, having finished in a tie for second and a solo third in his last two events. One of his key goals for the upcoming year is to secure a spot on the US Ryder Cup team, a feat he has accomplished in the last three editions. Thomas shared his commitment to setting ambitious goals and working diligently to achieve them, emphasizing the importance of continuous improvement in his game.

Thomas’s dedication to setting and pursuing goals is evident in his detailed approach to analyzing his performance and identifying areas for enhancement. By conducting a deep dive into his stats and comparing them to his best stretches, Thomas is able to pinpoint specific areas for focus during his off weeks and set new goals for the coming year. This methodical approach has been a key factor in his success on the PGA Tour, where he has earned 15 victories and established himself as a top player.

As Thomas reflects on the past season and looks ahead to future challenges, his commitment to goal setting and improvement remains unwavering. By setting ambitious targets and working tirelessly to achieve them, Thomas demonstrates the mindset of a champion seeking continuous growth and success in his career. With a renewed focus on key areas of his game and a desire to build on recent successes, Thomas is poised to make a significant impact in the upcoming season and achieve his goals on and off the course.
