Teardrop has launched a new range of putters for 2024, inspired by their classic designs from the 1990s. The new range features three head shapes: the TD-1 blade design, the TD-5 rounded mallet, and the TD-7 high MOI, face-balanced mallet. All three putters boast a sleek black finish with white branding and multiple sight lines for alignment. The TD-7 is the most forgiving putter in the range, thanks to its multi-material construction combining steel and aluminum and its winged design increases the MOI.

The highlight of the new Teardrop putters is the Radial Face design, which compensates for the increase or decrease of loft applied by a golfer’s putting stroke. This feature creates an ideal launch angle and spin rate for a smooth and consistent roll, regardless of where the ball is struck. The precisely machined grooves on the putter face provide the right amount of friction between the face and ball at impact to ensure better distance control and a smooth roll. The brand claims that the Radial Face technology enhances the overall putting experience.

The TD-7 putter features four sightlines on top of the putter, providing a powerful system to help golfers see where the face is pointing and the path of their stroke. The putter was extensively tested over 18 holes and on various putting surfaces, delivering on its promises of a smooth and consistent roll, better distance control, and forgiveness. The feel off the face of the putter is described as impressive, reminiscent of high-end putters with face inserts. The distance control was consistently spot on, attributed to the Radial Face design.

While forgiveness is a notable feature of the TD-7 putter, its standout qualities lie in its feel, alignment lines, and overall confidence-promoting design. The putter is recommended for beginner golfers looking to enhance their putting performance, as well as golfers of all skill levels who may benefit from the forgiving and reliable performance of the TD-7. With its mid-range price point and high-quality construction, the TD-7 is a versatile option for golfers looking to upgrade their equipment.

Overall, the Teardrop 2024 range of putters offers a blend of classic design inspiration with modern technology to enhance the putting experience for golfers of all levels. The Radial Face design, combined with the multi-material construction and alignment features, sets the TD-7 apart as a standout performer in the range. Golfers looking for a forgiving, consistent, and confidence-inspiring putter may find the TD-7 to be a valuable addition to their bag. Consider adding the Teardrop TD-7 to your shortlist of mallet putters if you are in the market for a reliable and high-performance option.
