Golf fans are in for a treat with the new TGL (hi-tech golf league) created by Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, in partnership with the PGA Tour. Starting on January 7, the TGL will be held at the SoFi Center in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida. Fans can catch all the action on ESPN+ in the US, Sky Sports in the UK, and Kayo Sports in Australia. With cutting-edge technology and a unique format, the TGL promises to be an exciting event for golf enthusiasts.

The TGL will take place indoors using a golf simulator, with the SoFi Center providing the venue and Full Swing supplying the simulation technology. Each team will play a round-robin league, with matches scheduled on Monday or Tuesday evenings and lasting about two hours. The top four teams will then move on to the playoffs, adding to the excitement of the competition. The league kicks off on January 7 with a match between New York Golf Club and The Bay Golf Club featuring some of the world’s top-ranked golfers.

For fans looking to watch the TGL online, on TV, or from anywhere in the world, there are options available. ESPN will broadcast the event live on television and via ESPN+ streaming service. In the UK, Sky Sports Golf will be showing the action, while fans in Canada can tune in to Sportsnet. Australian viewers can catch the TGL on Fox Sports and Kayo Sports. VPNs can also be used to access streaming services from anywhere, ensuring fans don’t miss a moment of the action.

The TGL format includes 15 holes played in a matchplay style, with points awarded for winning holes. Each team will have a three-man lineup selected from a four-man roster, adding strategic depth to the competition. The league schedule runs from January to March, culminating in the playoffs to determine the overall winner. With teams representing different US cities, the TGL promises to be a unique and thrilling experience for both players and fans alike.

Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy have expressed excitement about the new league, highlighting the innovative nature of the TGL and the interactive environment it provides. With greens that can move and a team format, the TGL offers a fresh take on traditional golf tournaments. The league’s unique rules, such as ‘The Hammer’ feature, add an extra layer of strategy and excitement to the matches, ensuring a competitive and engaging experience for all involved.

For those looking to catch the TGL live stream, pay-TV broadcasters will be offering coverage, with free trials available for some services. ESPN+ does not offer a free trial, but Hulu + Live TV bundle comes with a three-day free trial. In Australia, Kayo Sports is offering a seven-day free trial for new subscribers. Fans can also check the TGL broadcast schedule to find out when and where to watch the matches in their region, with a variety of viewing options available globally.

As the TGL prepares to kick off, golf fans around the world can look forward to an exciting and innovative golfing experience. With top players, cutting-edge technology, and a unique format, the TGL promises to be a memorable event for both players and spectators. Whether watching on TV or online, fans can follow the action and cheer on their favorite teams as they compete in this groundbreaking new league.
