GOLFZON Tour is a simulator-golf match play competition where regional teams compete for a $150,000 grand prize. The league consists of 12 teams from selected GOLFZON host facilities in the U.S., London, Toronto, and Mexico. Team Detroit recently defeated Team Orlando to advance to the final round. The competition began with 12 teams, with each team consisting of five players.

The format of the GOLFZON Tour involves teams of three players competing head-to-head in a match-play format. Female competitors play at 85% of the yardage of their male counterparts. In the event of a tie after 18 holes, a sudden-death playoff occurs where all three players’ scores count. The first team to score lower than the other on a hole wins the match. The semi-final matches are hosted at the iconic Pebble Beach Golf Links, where teams compete in real time from their regional simulator locations.

Team Detroit and Team Orlando faced off in a semi-final match at Pebble Beach Golf Links. Team Detroit took an early lead by winning the first two holes, but Team Orlando fought back to take a 1-up lead. Team Detroit regained the lead and ultimately won the match 1 up on the 18th green. Detroit is now one of the top three teams competing for the grand prize and will face the winner of Team Tulsa and Team Los Angeles in the final round.

The 12 teams competing in GOLFZON Tour include Detroit, London, Louisville, New York City, Orlando, Toronto, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, Mexico, Minneapolis, and Tulsa. Teams from both East and West divisions are competing in the tournament, with some already eliminated in earlier rounds. Matches and match recaps are available on GOLFZON’s YouTube page, allowing fans to follow along with the tournament’s progress.

GOLFZON Tour showcases the growing popularity of simulator golf and provides an exciting platform for everyday players to compete for significant prize money. The tournament’s unique format and competitive spirit have captured the interest of golf enthusiasts worldwide. As the tour progresses towards the final round, fans can look forward to more intense match-ups and thrilling moments on the virtual course.

The GOLFZON Tour is a testament to the innovation and technology driving the evolution of golf tournaments. By utilizing simulators and online connectivity, the league has created a dynamic and engaging environment for players and viewers alike. The rise of simulator golf as a competitive sport opens up new opportunities for golfers to test their skills and compete in a virtual setting.

As the competition intensifies and the final round approaches, Team Detroit and the remaining teams are poised to deliver high-level performances in pursuit of the $150,000 grand prize. With each match bringing new challenges and triumphs, the GOLFZON Tour promises to showcase the best of simulator golf and the camaraderie among competing teams. Fans can expect a thrilling conclusion to the tournament as the top teams battle it out for ultimate glory.
