The SoFi Center indoor golf arena, located on the Palm Beach State College campus in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, has recently completed the construction of its roof and sides. The next phase of construction will focus on the steel framing for the surrounding concourse, which will serve as the entrance area with space for concessions. The TGL team play, led by PGA Tour players Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, is set to begin in January 2025, with the first match scheduled to be broadcast on ESPN during prime time.

Construction crews began working on the SoFi Center on March 18, with the goal of achieving full “dry-in” status by early September. Once the building’s shell is complete and protected from wind and rain, interior and tech teams will install various technologies, including lighting, cameras, audio, motorization tech under the putting green, and screen framing with LED boards. A 46-foot-by-64-foot Jumbotron-type screen will also be installed in time for a full rehearsal in mid-fall.

The arena’s technology elements were originally installed in an inflatable dome, the first iteration of the arena. However, due to blustery weather and a power outage that left the dome in tatters, plans were changed to utilize a more permanent structure. The SoFi Center aims to provide a state-of-the-art experience for players and spectators alike, showcasing the latest advancements in indoor golf technology.

The completion of the SoFi Center marks a significant milestone in the development of the TGL indoor golf league, bringing together top players from around the world to compete in a dynamic and interactive format. With the support of Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, the league aims to revolutionize the way golf is played and experienced, showcasing the sport in a new and exciting light.

As the construction continues and the SoFi Center nears its completion, fans and players alike are eager to see the finished product and experience the cutting-edge technology and amenities it has to offer. The state-of-the-art facility promises to provide a unique and immersive golfing experience for all who visit, setting a new standard for indoor golf arenas worldwide.

In summary, the SoFi Center indoor golf arena in Palm Beach Gardens is nearing completion, with crews finishing the roof and sides of the building. Led by PGA Tour players Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, the TGL team play is set to begin in January 2025, bringing a new era of interactive golf to the region. Stay tuned for more updates and information as the SoFi Center prepares to open its doors to players and fans from around the world.
