Cobra is set to release the fifth generation of its King Tec forged irons, offering players a combination of classic forged looks and feel with modern performance technology. The new lineup includes the King Tec, King Tec-X, and King Tec-X ONE Length irons, all designed to cater to the “players-distance” category of clubs. These irons are centered around a new Forged PWRSHELL face insert with H.O.T Face Variable Thickness Geometry, resulting in thinner and stronger clubfaces that enhance ball speed.

The King Tec irons are dubbed as the “ultimate players-distance iron” and come equipped with a five-step forging process to improve feel and precision shaping. The clubhead shapes have been refined from the previous generation, featuring a shortened blade length, softened topline, and a “tucked toe” design. The hollow part of the clubheads is filled with enhanced foam microspheres to dampen vibrations and enhance sound, while tungsten weights in specific irons contribute to stability and ball flight control.

In addition to the King Tec irons, Cobra is also releasing the King Tec-X and King Tec-X ONE Length models, targeting players seeking game-improvement features. The King Tec-X series offers a larger profile with refined shaping and a focus on forgiveness and stability. These irons feature the same forged PWRSHELL face insert technology but with softer and lighter foam microspheres for enhanced feel. The King Tec-X ONE Length version provides consistent playability with a single-length set, offering easier launch and increased distance control.

All three models in the King Tec family are available for pre-order on cobragolf.com and Fairway Jockey, with the official release scheduled for November 8. The Cobra King Tec irons come in a 4-PW set with KBS $-Taper Lite steel shafts, while the King Tec-X and King Tec-X ONE Length sets include a 5-GW configuration with KBS Tour Lite steel shafts. Each set is priced at $1,299 and comes with Lamkin Crossline grips. Left-handed sets can be ordered through custom orders only.

Players looking to upgrade their equipment in 2024 can explore the new King Tec lineup from Cobra for a blend of traditional looks and feel with cutting-edge performance technology. These irons offer improved ball speed, feel, and forgiveness, catering to players of different skill levels and preferences. With a focus on precision shaping, stability, and consistency, the King Tec, King Tec-X, and King Tec-X ONE Length irons provide a comprehensive range of options for golfers looking to enhance their game.
