The Tour Championship is the final stage of the FedEx Cup Playoffs in the PGA Tour’s 2024 season where only the top 30 golfers compete. The postseason began with 70 players at the FedEx St. Jude Championship in Memphis and then narrowed down to 50 at the BMW Championship in Castle Rock, Colorado. The ultimate winner of the Tour Championship is also crowned the FedEx Cup champion, marking the end of the season. In the 17 seasons of the playoffs, there have been 14 different winners, with Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods being the only golfers to win it multiple times.

Among the 30 golfers advancing to the Tour Championship in 2024, Scottie Scheffler currently holds the top spot, followed closely by the rest of the field. Keegan Bradley, the winner of the 2024 BMW Championship, made a significant rise in the standings to secure a spot in the final leg of the playoffs. The top three positions remained unchanged, showcasing the consistency of the players at the top of the leaderboard. However, there were also those who played their way out of contention, with four players dropping out of the top 30.

The list of golfers advancing to East Lake for the Tour Championship includes well-known names like Rory McIlroy, Collin Morikawa, and Tony Finau. Alongside them are players like Ludvig Aberg, Sahith Theegala, and Akshay Bhatia who have shown promise throughout the season. In contrast, the first five out include players like Brian Harman, Si Woo Kim, and Jason Day who narrowly missed out on a spot in the final tournament. The competition is fierce at this stage of the playoffs, with each player vying for the prestigious title of FedEx Cup champion.

As the players gear up for the Tour Championship, the pressure is on to perform at their best and secure a strong finish to the season. The stakes are high, with the winner not only claiming victory at the final event but also being awarded the coveted FedEx Cup. The final leg of the playoffs is sure to bring excitement and drama as the top 30 golfers compete for one last chance at glory. With a mix of seasoned veterans and up-and-coming talent in the field, the Tour Championship promises to be a thrilling conclusion to the 2024 PGA Tour season.
