Titleist has extended their popular GT range by adding three hybrid models as well as a new GT1 driver and fairway wood. These additions come five months after the release of the first GT drivers, which have been well-received by both professional and amateur golfers. The new GT hybrids have seen improvements in MOI to create more stable clubheads, with the GT1 model boasting a 5 percent increase, the GT2 a 10 percent increase, and the GT3 a 15 percent increase. These enhancements are aimed at providing forgiveness and consistency, especially on off-center hits.
The GT1 hybrid is designed for extreme forgiveness, with a longer blade length to maintain ball speeds on off-center hits. The GT2 hybrid features the highest MOI in the range and has two weight ports on the sole to allow for CG placement adjustment and preferred ball flights. In contrast, the GT3 hybrid is designed for shot-shaping and workability, with improved perimeter weighting for stability and forgiveness. Golfers can choose from three sole weight configurations to dial in trajectory and achieve maximum control.
In addition to the new hybrid models, Titleist has also introduced the GT1 driver and fairway woods to complement the existing GT range. The GT1 driver features a lightweight head, shaft, and grip to help slower swing speed players achieve more distance, while also offering the lowest CG placement of any Titleist driver for increased speed and a higher ball flight. The GT1 driver and fairway woods will feature a Seamless Thermoform Crown made from Titleist’s Proprietary Matrix Polymer for a familiar sound and feel on impact.
All of the new Titleist GT hybrids and GT1 range will be available for purchase online and in golf stores starting February 21st. The hybrids will retail at £299, while the GT1 driver and fairway woods will be priced at £579 and £349 respectively. These new additions to the GT range are expected to continue the success of the previous GT drivers and fairway woods, offering golfers improved forgiveness, stability, and control on the course.
