Let’s Dive Into the Vice Kids Clubs: A Fun Review for Young Golfers

This week was a blast! I had the opportunity to hit the greens with my kids, trying out the Vice Kids Clubs. My little golfers usually swing with U.S. Kids Golf clubs, and which one has a PING thrown in for good measure, so it was time for a little upgrade. Here’s what stood out during our day on the course.

First Impressions: Vice Knocks It Out of the Park

When it comes to golf, the excitement starts with how the gear looks. The moment my kids laid eyes on the Vice set, they both shouted, "These are cool!" and honestly, they weren’t wrong. Vice totally nailed the design. The vibrant bags and stylish clubs caught their attention right away, making them eager to pick them up and play.

For any parent hoping to snag their kid’s interest in golf, the aesthetics of these clubs seriously matter. Let’s face it—if golf doesn’t look fun, it’ll be hard to keep them engaged.

Drivers, Woods & Hybrids: The Real MVPs

Let’s talk about the drivers, woods, and hybrids. In our testing, it became clear that these clubs were the stars of the show. My kids swapped out their U.S. Kids drivers for the Vice driver without hesitation. They loved how it sounded and felt, and they noticed a little extra roll, which is always a win in golf.

But the hybrid? Oh man, was that another standout. My daughter scored her first hole-in-one earlier this year with her U.S. Kids hybrid—105 yards over a bunker, to be exact! So, for her to put that iconic club aside for the Vice hybrid says a lot. She absolutely loved it, which made a parent like me beam with pride!

Irons: Lightweight and User-Friendly

Now, let’s dive into the irons. Vice designed these with newer players in mind, and you can tell. They are lightweight and super forgiving—exactly what you need when kids are still figuring out their swing.

My son usually prefers steel-shafted irons, but he found the graphite-shafted Vice 5-iron to be surprisingly nice. I took a few swings myself and was really impressed. These clubs are easy to launch, which is crucial since irons can be quite tricky for kids.

The Rest of the Set: Covering All Bases

The wedge plays a bit like a gap wedge due to its shape, but it still has enough loft to help kiddos get out of bunkers—and that’s huge! We’ve all seen those junior sets that come with wedges that just don’t have the loft to get kids out of tough spots, so it’s great that Vice considered that.

The putter is a straightforward blade style that completes the set nicely. It gets the job done without any hassle, which is all we need as parents, right?

As for the bag, it’s super lightweight and sturdy. Plus, it’s got just the right number of pockets for kids and a stable stand, so no worries about it tumbling over on the course.

Who Should Try These Clubs?

So, who are these clubs really for?

  • Kids wanting to have fun: If your child wants golf to feel cool and engaging, Vice nailed that with the designs.

  • New or developing players: These clubs are beginner-friendly with their lightweight builds and easier launch angles.

  • Vice fans: If your kids are already using Vice balls, these clubs would fit right in with their game.

  • Families looking for value: Priced between $249–$369, these sets offer a fantastic option compared to other junior gear out there.

Who Might Want to Hold Off

On the flip side, here are some folks who might want to skip these clubs:

  • Advanced juniors with faster swings: They may find the Vice clubs a bit too light when compared to steel-shafted options.

  • Families deep into U.S. Kids progression: If you’re already invested in that upgrade pipeline, switching might be unnecessary or cumbersome.

  • Players needing custom fitting: While Vice offers three height-specific set sizes, they lack the customization options you might find with other brands.

Final Thoughts

Overall, Vice truly did a great job with their new junior golf clubs. They combined innovation, style, and sheer fun into a set that’s perfect for young golfers.

If your kid is even slightly interested in golf, these clubs are a solid choice. They’re not just a novelty—they could genuinely help spark a love for the game that lasts a lifetime.

So that’s the scoop on Vice Kids Clubs. Let’s keep the game fun and exciting for the next generation of golfers!
