Sepp Straka, a rising star on the PGA Tour, has had a successful past three seasons, with two wins under his belt. While he has not yet secured a win in 2024, Straka has had a strong season with 10 top-25 finishes and over $4.2 million in earnings. He currently sits 18th in the FedEx Cup standings, with the Playoffs approaching.

In a recent episode of Subpar, Straka joined hosts Colt Knost and Drew Stoltz to discuss various topics, including his move from Austria to Georgia as a teenager, his Ryder Cup experience, and his time calling golf on CBS. One of the highlights of the conversation was when Straka shared that playing with JT Poston has become a good-luck charm for him, as he has made three hole-in-ones in the past 14 months, with Poston present for all of them.

One of Straka’s hole-in-ones occurred during a competitive round at the U.S. Open, while the other two were at Augusta during the Par 3 Contest and a practice round. Straka credits Poston’s presence as a lucky charm for his hole-in-ones and suggests that fans keep an eye on them when they play together. Straka also shared his thoughts on a potential Ryder Cup at Bethpage during the conversation.

As a member of Columbia’s inaugural class of female varsity golfers, Jessica, the Golf.com editor, brings a unique perspective to the game. She is responsible for producing print and online features, as well as overseeing major projects for the publication. Jessica’s original interview series, “A Round With,” has been a popular feature on GOLF.com since its debut in 2015.

Overall, Sepp Straka is having a successful season on the PGA Tour, despite not securing a win in 2024. With strong earnings, top finishes, and a presence in the FedEx Cup standings, Straka is poised for continued success in the future. His conversation on Subpar provided insights into his career, experiences, and superstitions, as well as his thoughts on potential future events in golf.

Fans of Straka can enjoy his engaging personality and insights on the podcast, while also following his progress on the PGA Tour. With an impressive track record and a bright future ahead, Straka is a player to watch in the world of competitive golf. As he continues to compete at a high level, fans can expect more exciting moments and potentially more wins from this talented professional golfer.
