The golf landscape has undergone a significant transformation in recent years, with the introduction of the TGL (Technology Golf League) set to revolutionize the sport even further in January 2025. The SoFi Center in Palm Beach, Florida, is the impressive location where this innovative golf league will take place, combining advanced technology with live action to create a unique and immersive experience for players and fans alike.

The broadcast of TGL tournaments will feature a variety of elements that enhance the overall viewing experience. One of the key features is a massive 64 feet by 46 feet simulator screen developed by Full Swing, as well as a state-of-the-art short-game complex that includes three virtual greens and 3,800 square feet of real-life putting space. Despite its stadium-like setup, the SoFi Center also boasts a hitting area that mimics Augusta National’s layout, complete with fairway, rough, and sand areas.

Measuring the same size as an American football field, the SoFi Center’s two zones – the ScreenZone and GreenZone – provide players with different areas to practice their shots. The GreenZone, in particular, is a standout feature, with a massive 22,475-square-foot short-game area that sits on a rotating turntable to change approach angles. Additionally, TGL features over 25 uniquely designed holes that challenge players with a mix of risk-and-reward scenarios, lengthy par 5s, and demanding par 3s.

The SoFi Center has a seating capacity for up to 1,500 fans, making it a perfect venue for hosting live tournaments and events. Located on the campus of Palm Beach State College in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, the SoFi Center is ideally situated to attract PGA Tour players who reside in the state. Originally planned as an inflatable dome, the construction of the SoFi Center was delayed due to high winds, but the TGL team eventually completed a more robust steel structure towards the end of 2024.

The innovative design and advanced technology integrated into the SoFi Center make it a one-of-a-kind venue for golf enthusiasts and players. With its cutting-edge features, including a massive simulator screen, extensive short-game area, and unique hole designs, TGL promises to offer a fresh and exciting golfing experience unlike anything seen before. By combining tech-savvy elements with live action, the TGL aims to attract a new generation of fans to the sport of golf and elevate its entertainment value to new heights.
