The PGA Tour is back in Texas for the 2024 Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial Country Club in Fort Worth, with a field that includes world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, Texas legend Jordan Spieth, Max Homa, Collin Morikawa, Tony Finau, and Sungjae Im. The defending champion, Emiliano Grillo, is looking to bounce back after a missed cut at the PGA Championship last week. Colonial is a par-70 track measuring 7,289 yards, with the winner set to earn $1.638 million and 500 FedEx Cup points.

Before the tournament kicks off, it’s important to look at the history of some of the players at this event over the past five seasons. Jordan Spieth has had mixed finishes at Colonial since 2019, from missing the cut in 2023 to finishing second in 2021. Tony Finau, on the other hand, has been more consistent, with a top-four finish in 2022 and a second-place in 2019. Emiliano Grillo, the defending champion, had his first-place finish last year, following a missed cut in 2020.

Brian Harman has had a few top-10 finishes at Colonial over the years, including an eighth-place finish in 2021. Collin Morikawa, a rising star, has been steadily improving at Colonial, with a second-place finish in 2020. Daniel Berger, another player to watch, took home the trophy in 2020 after finishing in the top 25 over the past few years. Justin Rose has also shown promise at the Charles Schwab Challenge, with a third-place finish in 2020.

Max Homa has been consistent at Colonial, with top-10 finishes in 2023 and 2019. Scottie Scheffler, the world No. 1, has been a strong contender at this event, with a second-place finish in 2022. Lastly, Andrew Putnam has shown flashes of potential at Colonial, with a third-place finish in 2019. As the players gear up for the 2024 Charles Schwab Challenge, all eyes will be on the top contenders, including Scheffler, Spieth, and Morikawa.

With a competitive field and a challenging course layout, the 2024 Charles Schwab Challenge is set to be an exciting event to watch. With Scheffler, Spieth, and Morikawa leading the charge, fans can expect to see some intense competition and memorable moments on the course. Whether it’s a veteran player like Spieth or a newcomer like Morikawa, the Charles Schwab Challenge promises to deliver thrilling golf action and a high level of skill on display. Don’t miss out on all the excitement as the PGA Tour returns to Texas for this prestigious event at Colonial Country Club.
