Ludvig Åberg holds a two-shot lead going into the final round of the Scottish Open, with Ryder Cup teammate Bob MacIntyre close behind. MacIntyre thrilled the home fans with a strong performance, carding a 63 to put pressure on Åberg, who responded with birdies on the 16th and 17th to finish with a 65 and reach 17 under par. Åberg is aiming for his first Rolex Series victory and has shown consistency with rounds of 64-64-65 so far.

Last year, MacIntyre narrowly missed out on victory at the Scottish Open after a birdie-birdie finish from Rory McIlroy, so the home fans will be rooting for him to secure an emotional win on home soil. However, Åberg has been in strong form and will be aiming to maintain his lead in the final round. Adam Scott is also in contention, carding a 64 to sit at 14 under par, one shot ahead of a group of players including Collin Morikawa and Sahith Theegala.

Åberg expressed satisfaction with his performance, stating that it was not the most stress-free round but he managed to stay composed and aggressive on the course. He highlighted the importance of keeping an eye on the leaderboard to stay motivated and focused during the round. MacIntyre, on the other hand, praised his own performance and emphasized the importance of letting the game unfold naturally. With strong tee-to-green play and a confident putting stroke, MacIntyre is poised for a strong finish in the final round.

Both Åberg and MacIntyre are looking forward to the final round, with the potential for an exciting duel between the two teammates. MacIntyre is determined to control his game and capitalize on the home support, while Åberg is focused on maintaining his consistency and holding onto his lead. The outcome of the Scottish Open remains uncertain, with several players in contention and the pressure mounting as the final round approaches.

As the players head into the final round of the Scottish Open, the stage is set for an exciting conclusion to the tournament. With Åberg holding a slight lead over MacIntyre and other players close behind, the competition is fierce and the potential for dramatic twists and turns is high. The home fans will be eagerly watching to see if MacIntyre can secure a win on home soil, while Åberg will be aiming to secure his first Rolex Series victory. The final round promises to be a thrilling battle between some of the top golfers in the world, with the outcome hanging in the balance until the last putt drops.
