Tour-inspired design of Titleist Vokey’s new A+ grind

The Titleist Vokey WedgeWorks A+ grind wedges offer an exciting new option for golfers looking for a reliable lob wedge. Available in 58 and 60 degrees, these raw finished, mid-bounce wedges feature a wide, contoured sole that produces a fast feel through the turf. Designed for players with a neutral angle of attack who play in a variety of conditions, these wedges are sure to become a staple in your bag. The shaft is True Temper’s Dynamic Gold S200, and the grip is Titleist’s Universal 360. Unfortunately, left-handed golfers will need to look elsewhere, as this offering is available in right-handed only for $225 per wedge.

The origins of the A+ grind can be traced back to the Vokey WedgeWorks A grind, which was developed through a collaboration between Vokey tour rep Aaron Dill and 2006 U.S. Open champion Geoff Ogilvy. Ogilvy was looking for a wedge that moved through firm turf faster than his current L grind, leading to the creation of the A grind. Dill then made further modifications to create the A+ grind, which provides players with the benefits of the A grind while offering more sole width and bounce to accommodate their delivery.

Players who prefer the A grind sole but needed more versatility found the A+ grind to be a game-changer. The leading edge of the A+ grind sits lower, allowing the wedge to move faster through the ground and unlocking additional versatility in various playing conditions. PGA Tour players like Adam Scott and Davis Riley have already seen success using the A+ grind, showcasing its performance capabilities at the highest level of the game. The A+ wedges also feature Vokey’s progressive center of gravity, pushing the CG forward for a flatter trajectory and improved face squaring at impact.

Customization options for the A+ wedges include personalized stamping and engravings, allowing players to add their own flair to their equipment. With options for shaft bands, ferrules, shafts, and grips, players can truly make these wedges their own. Available now through WedgeWorks on Vokey.com and golf shops nationwide, the A+ grind wedges offer golfers a new weapon to improve their short game performance. Whether you’re a professional touring golfer or a weekend warrior, these wedges are sure to become a go-to club in your bag.
