Trevor Foster, a beloved Senior Team player from England, passed away at the age of 64, leaving behind his wife Debbie, son Ryan, daughter Nikki, and three grandchildren. Tributes from around the world have poured in for Trevor, recognizing his larger than life personality and his impressive golfing career.

Throughout his career, Trevor represented Lancashire 111 times and was county champion in 1987 and 1990. In 1988, he led The Open leaderboard at Royal Lytham & St Annes, surpassing golf legends like Seve Ballesteros and Nick Faldo. Trevor was most known for his success as a senior golfer, representing England every year since 2016 and Europe in the 2022 Concession Cup.

A fierce competitor, Trevor won numerous titles including the Irish Senior Men’s Championship in 2018, the English Senior Men’s Championship in 2022, and the British Senior Men’s Championship in 2018 with a record-setting performance. He also excelled in The Senior Open, winning the leading amateur Silver Medal in 2021 and a bronze medal in 2022.

Known for his storytelling, Trevor was a great communicator on and off the golf course. He once played a practice round with Bernhard Langer to share his accomplishment of breaking Langer’s course record at Porthcawl. In any setting, Trevor was the life of the party, a true gentleman, and a consummate professional in the sport he loved.

Trevor’s wife Debbie was his unwavering support, walking thousands of miles as part of ‘Team Foster’. Together, they made a formidable team, leaving a lasting impact on all who knew them. As an England player, Trevor epitomized dedication, focus, and unwavering commitment to the game’s success.

As a stalwart of the England Seniors Team, Trevor will be remembered for his sportsmanship, camaraderie, and genuine kindness. His loss has left a void in the golfing community, with tributes pouring in from those who were touched by his generosity and friendly nature. Our thoughts and prayers are with Trevor’s family and friends during this challenging time.

In summary, Trevor Foster’s legacy as one of England’s greatest Senior Team players will be cherished for generations to come. His achievements on the golf course, along with his warmth, generosity, and competitive spirit, have left an indelible mark on the sport and all who had the privilege of interacting with him. May his memory continue to inspire and uplift those who knew and loved him.
