Sam’s Club has entered the golf equipment space with its Member’s Mark golf balls, aiming to rival Costco’s popular Kirkland Signature line. The Member’s Mark Pro Series 2 golf balls quickly sold out on Sam’s Club’s website, garnering attention from golf enthusiasts on social media. Costco’s Kirkland Signature balls, known for their popularity and low price, faced backlash from Acushnet in a lawsuit for patent violations, but the suit was settled in 2018. Now, Sam’s Club is offering its own urethane-covered golf balls under the Member’s Mark brand, priced at $27.98 for two dozen.

The Member’s Mark golf balls feature a compression level similar to leading brands like Titleist and TaylorMade, with a three-piece construction and blended urethane cover. The optimized dimple pattern of the ball is designed to provide a strong flight even in windy conditions. While Costco has expanded its golf product offerings to include clubs like irons, drivers, and putters, it remains to be seen if Sam’s Club will follow suit with the Member’s Mark brand. Golfers looking to upgrade their equipment in 2025 can visit a True Spec fitting location for personalized recommendations.

Costco’s Kirkland Signature irons were a hot commodity, selling out within hours of their release on the website. The success of Costco’s golf products, including the Kirkland Signature balls, has established the retailer as a strong contender in the golf equipment market. As Sam’s Club introduces its own golf balls under the Member’s Mark brand, competition in the warehouse-club space is heating up. Golf enthusiasts have been eagerly awaiting the release of the Member’s Mark Pro Series 2 balls, drawn to their quality construction and competitive pricing.

The rivalry between Sam’s Club and Costco in the golf equipment space mirrors their competition in other product categories. As both retailers vie for the attention of budget-conscious consumers, the quality and affordability of their golf products play a key role in attracting customers. While Costco has made a name for itself with the Kirkland Signature line, Sam’s Club is looking to make a splash with the Member’s Mark golf balls. With a focus on providing high-quality equipment at competitive prices, both retailers are shaping the landscape of the warehouse-club golf market in 2025.

Golfers looking for affordable yet durable golf balls have turned to warehouse clubs like Sam’s Club and Costco for options like the Member’s Mark and Kirkland Signature lines. The popularity of these offerings speaks to the demand for quality golf equipment at accessible prices. As Sam’s Club enters the golf equipment space with the Member’s Mark Pro Series 2 balls, consumers have another option to consider when stocking up on essentials for their next round. With a focus on performance and value, Sam’s Club is poised to capture a share of the budget-conscious golf market with its new golf ball offering.
