The U.S. Open Championship is quickly approaching, with a field that has seen some recent additions including players like Adam Scott. Scott earned an exemption based on his current Official World Golf Ranking. The USGA also added four alternates from final qualifying to complete the 156-player field, including Sergio Garcia and amateur Brendan Valdes.

Tiger Woods was seen practicing for the U.S. Open with his 15-year-old son, Charlie, at Pinehurst No. 2. The father-son duo was joined by other players like Justin Thomas, Jordan Spieth, and Rickie Fowler. Defending U.S. Open champion Wyndham Clark commented on the fast and penal greens at Pinehurst, noting that they are already borderline in terms of difficulty.

Padraig Harrington reflected on his career as he prepares for his induction into the World Golf Hall of Fame. He expressed satisfaction with his achievements and discussed his approach to getting the most out of his talents. Nasa Hataoka faced disappointment after being disqualified from a recent LPGA event, causing her to slip from Japan’s final qualifying spot for the Olympic women’s golf event.

The weather forecast for the U.S. Open at Pinehurst includes rising temperatures and scattered thunderstorms throughout the weekend. Carlos Ortiz, despite failing to qualify for the tournament, believes he deserves to be playing at the U.S. Open due to his recent successes on the LIV Golf Tour. Ortiz expressed frustration with the qualifying process and believes he is one of the best players in the world right now.

As the U.S. Open approaches, there is speculation about the potential for carnage on the course due to the challenging conditions at Pinehurst. Golf fans can check out galleries of photos from the event to get a behind-the-scenes look at the action. With a competitive field and players like Adam Scott and Tiger Woods in the mix, the U.S. Open promises to be an exciting and memorable event for golf fans around the world.
