The 2024 U.S. Open is set to take place at Pinehurst Resort in North Carolina, marking the fourth time the major championship will be held at this prestigious golf destination, known as the “Cradle of American Golf.” While many may not be familiar with Pinehurst’s location, it is situated in the Village of Pinehurst in the North Carolina sand hills. The resort is conveniently located within a two-hour drive of major cities such as Raleigh, Greensboro, and Charlotte, making it easily accessible for golf enthusiasts attending the tournament.

As the U.S. Open returns to Pinehurst, players from around the world are gearing up to compete on the challenging No. 2 golf course, which is one of the 11 courses at the Pinehurst Resort. In addition to the No. 2 course, the resort boasts a total of 10 18-hole golf courses, a par-3 Cradle course, and other top-ranked courses in the region including Tobacco Road, Mid Pines, Southern Pines, Pine Needles, and Country Club of North Carolina. These courses are known for their exceptional design and quality, making Pinehurst a premier golf destination.

One of the highlights of Pinehurst Resort is the No. 2 course, designed by renowned architect Donald Ross in 1907. This course is ranked among the top 100 U.S. courses and will serve as the venue for the 2024 U.S. Open. Additionally, the No. 4 course at the resort also holds a spot in the top 100 U.S. rankings after undergoing a redesign by Gil Hanse in 2018. With its rich history and world-class facilities, Pinehurst continues to attract golfers of all levels seeking a memorable playing experience.

For those unable to attend the U.S. Open in person, the tournament will be broadcast on TV by USA and NBC. The schedule includes coverage of all rounds, with USA airing the first round on Thursday and early coverage on the weekend, while NBC will cover the second, third, and final rounds on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Viewers can also stream the tournament online through the Peacock streaming service, USOpen.com, the NBC Sports App, and the USGA App, providing easy access to follow the action from anywhere.

Whether you’re a die-hard golf fan or just curious about the U.S. Open, Pinehurst Resort offers an exciting opportunity to witness top players in the world compete on a world-renowned course.
