In the world of professional golf, the PGA Championship saw Amy Yang emerge as the winner. Following this major event, golfers gathered for some early summer competitions in various locations such as southeast upstate New York, Connecticut, Oklahoma, and Holland. One standout performance came from Cameron Young at Cromwell, who shot a 59 on Saturday, saving par on the last hole. Despite starting Sunday with four consecutive birdies, Young eventually cooled off but managed to secure a top-ten finish.

The PGA Tour at the Travelers Championship witnessed an impressive playoff where Scottie Scheffler claimed his sixth victory of the season. With the Open Championship still ahead, Scheffler’s winning streak may continue. The playoff against Tom Kim on the final hole of regulation saw Scheffler come out on top, securing his fifteenth career win. Following closely behind were Tom Hoge and Sungjae Im tied for third place.

Over on the DP World Tour at the KPMG event, Guido Migliozzi clinched his fourth career championship trophy after a thrilling playoff. Migliozzi’s success came after a three-man playoff on the 18th hole, where he managed to make par and secure the victory. Rasmus Hojgaard and Andrea Pavan narrowly missed out on the playoff, with Hojgaard posting a bogey on the 16th hole, costing him the win.

On the Korn Ferry Tour at Compliance Solutions, John Pak maintained his lead despite some early setbacks, finishing the tournament at 23-under par. Following closely were Jackson Suber and Davis Shore, who posted impressive scores on the final day to secure their positions on the leaderboard. Pak, who also won on PGA Tour Canada in 2023, added a Korn Ferry Tour victory to his accolades.

The PGA Tour Champions at the DSG event in New York saw Padraig Harrington claim his third consecutive victory, finishing at 15-under par. Despite a strong performance from Mike Weir, Harrington held onto his lead to secure his eighth win on the senior circuit. With consistent play over the years, Harrington has cemented his status as a dominant force in senior golf.

Overall, the professional golf circuit in June saw some exciting competitions and notable victories from players like Scottie Scheffler, Guido Migliozzi, John Pak, and Padraig Harrington. With major championships and playoffs showcasing the skills and talents of these golfers, fans were treated to thrilling performances on the course. As the golf season progresses, all eyes will be on these players as they continue to make their mark in the world of professional golf.
