John Catlin recently replaced Charles Howell III on Bryson DeChambeau’s Crushers team for LIV Nashville, where he performed exceptionally well, finishing T7 and earning $562,500. Catlin expressed interest in joining LIV full-time, acknowledging that it ultimately depends on the captains, managers, and team organization. He emphasized the importance of continuing to work hard and showcase his skills to secure more opportunities in the future.

Catlin’s inclusion in LIV came as a result of his strong performances on the Asian Tour, where he claimed victory in two events this season. He currently leads the Asian Tour International Series Order of Merit, which offers a LIV exemption for the 2025 season to the winner. Catlin shared his positive experience with the format and atmosphere of LIV events, appreciating the team aspect and camaraderie that sets it apart from other tours. He expressed his excitement to be part of the LIV community and indicated that he enjoys playing golf with music, a feature that adds to the unique experience at LIV events.

The 33-year-old professional golfer has been a pro for 11 years and has competed on numerous tours around the world. Catlin highlighted the strong bond within the LIV community, noting that reuniting with familiar faces and meeting new players made his return to the tour feel seamless. He looks forward to his next competitive outing at LIV Valderrama in the coming weeks, eager to build on his recent success and continue showcasing his skills on the international stage. Catlin’s impressive performance and positive attitude have endeared him to fans and players alike, positioning him as a rising star in professional golf.
