The second week of July was a busy one for professional golf, with major championships taking place on both the LPGA and PGA Tour Champions. The LPGA held the Evian Championship at Evian-Les-Bains, while the Kaulig Championship took place on the PGA Tour Champions. Additionally, the DP World Tour and the PGA Tour collaborated on the Scottish Open, and another PGA Tour event was held in Kentucky. The Korn Ferry Tour also hosted The Ascendant at TPC Colorado. The week was filled with drama and excitement, with eagles and birdies deciding the winners in some events, while others ended in thrilling playoffs.

At the LPGA Evian Championship, Ayaka Furue claimed victory after a thrilling final round battle with Stephanie Kyriacou. Furue’s eagle on the final hole secured her second LPGA title, while Kyriacou finished a close second for her best result on the tour. In Scotland, Adam Scott looked set to win the Scottish Open until Robert MacIntyre stormed back with an eagle to secure the victory for his country. On the Korn Ferry Tour, Cristobal Del Solar won The Ascendant at TPC Colorado by a convincing margin after an impressive performance in the Rocky Mountains.

On the PGA Tour Champions, Ernie Els finally secured his first senior major win at the Kaulig Championship. Els held off challenges from Steve Stricker and Y.E. Yang to claim the title. In Kentucky, the ISCO Championship saw Harry Hall emerge victorious after a thrilling playoff that included some of the top golfers on the PGA Tour. Hall’s chip-in on the final hole of the playoff sealed his first PGA Tour victory and sent him to Royal Troon with a new level of confidence.

Overall, the second week of July was a showcase of the talent and excitement that professional golf has to offer. The performances of players like Furue, MacIntyre, Del Solar, Els, and Hall highlighted the competitiveness and drama of the sport. With major championships on the line and thrilling finishes in multiple events, fans were treated to a week of golf that will be remembered for years to come. As the season continues, the anticipation for more exciting moments on the tour only grows, with players like MacIntyre and Hall emerging as potential stars of the future.
