Andrew Tursky’s Equipment Report on PGATour.com highlights some unique choices in Wesley Bryan’s golf bag. Notably, Bryan carries two 4-irons, a Takomo 101U Driving Iron, and a Titleist T200. In a recent tournament, Bryan surprised spectators by using two drivers: a Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond Max and a new Titleist GT2 driver. He explained that this setup allowed him to work the ball both ways off the tee more easily, with each driver favoring a different shot shape.

However, at the 3M Open, Bryan decided to stick with only one driver, the Paradym Ai Smoke Triple Diamond Max, which he values for its forgiveness, especially on off-center hits. He humorously mentioned that his tee marks often spread across the face, indicating his need for forgiveness on mishits. Bryan praised the driver for offering ample forgiveness on shots hit off the toe, an area where he tends to miss frequently.

In addition to his driver adjustment, Bryan also introduced a new Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Max 3-wood into his bag to complement his driver. He shared that he previously used a TaylorMade Stealth 3-wood but switched to match the Ai Smoke driver’s performance. Bryan recounted a recent success with the 3-wood, using it to secure a birdie on the final hole of a round, showcasing its reliability and performance under pressure.

Bryan’s setup also includes a TaylorMade Stealth 2 hybrid, which he initially added to his bag by mistake last year during a tournament. The hybrid was intended as a backup while waiting for his clubs to arrive but ended up becoming a favorite. Bryan expressed his surprise at how much he enjoyed using the hybrid, highlighting its unique role and importance in his equipment arsenal.
