Justin Rose won the gold medal in golf at the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, marking the first time since 1904 that golf had been included in the Olympics. Rose’s total score for the competition was 268, with Henrik Stenson of Sweden and Matt Kuchar of the United States winning the silver and bronze medals respectively. Let’s take a look at the equipment that Rose used during the competition.

Rose’s gear included a TaylorMade M2 driver with 8.5 degrees and a Mitsubishi Tensei CK White 70 TX shaft. He also used a TaylorMade M2 3-wood with a Matrix Ozik 8M3 Black Tie X shaft. His irons were a combination of TaylorMade PSi Tour (3) with a KBS Tour C-Taper 130 X shaft, and Tour Preferred MB (4-PW) with the same shaft. For wedges, Rose used TaylorMade Tour Preferred EF (52, 56, 60) with KBS Tour C-Taper 130X and KBS Hi-Rev 135X shafts. His putter was a TaylorMade Ghost Monaco Tour Black Prototype, and he played with a TaylorMade Tour Preferred X ball.

Justin Rose’s 2016 WITB (What’s in the Bag) gear can be seen in more detail on the 2nd Swing Golf website, where they have a large selection of new and pre-owned golf clubs available for purchase. With more than 100,000 clubs in stock, golfers can find the perfect equipment to help improve their game. Additionally, 2nd Swing has six store locations as well as an online store, making it convenient for players to shop for the gear they need.

For golf enthusiasts looking to replicate Justin Rose’s winning set of clubs, they can find similar TaylorMade equipment such as the M2 driver, 3-wood, and irons, as well as the Tour Preferred X ball. The choice of shafts, such as the KBS Tour C-Taper and the Matrix Ozik 8M3 Black Tie, can also make a difference in the performance of the clubs. Getting fitted for the right shaft and club combination is crucial for optimizing your game on the course.

In addition to the specific equipment used by Justin Rose, golfers can learn from his performance and dedication to the sport. Rose’s skills and precision with his clubs helped him secure the gold medal at the 2016 Olympics, showcasing the importance of having the right gear for success in golf. By studying the strategies and techniques of top players like Rose, golfers can improve their own game and strive for excellence on the course. With the right equipment and mindset, anything is possible in the world of golf.
