England continued their dominance in the Girls’ & Boys’ Home Internationals by winning the tournament for the fourth consecutive time. The event took place at Conwy Golf Club in Wales, where England faced tough competition from Scotland. After a close final day, England emerged victorious with a 13-8 win overall and secured the championship title once again.

In the morning foursomes against Scotland, England took a narrow 4-3 lead before extending their advantage in the singles matches to claim a 9-5 victory. This result solidified England’s position as the top team in the tournament, having won all four events since the combined tournament began in 2021.

On the first day of the tournament, England showcased their talent by defeating hosts Wales with a commanding 14.5-6.5 win. Strong performances in the morning foursomes and singles matches set the tone for England’s success throughout the event.

The second day’s match against Ireland proved to be a closer contest, with the foursomes ending in a 3.5-apiece tie. However, England’s strong showing in the singles, especially from the Boys’ team, secured an 8-6 victory and an overall 11.5-9.5 win against Ireland.

Despite a strong start in the foursomes on the final day against Scotland, England faced a tough challenge as the scores were tied at 3-3. The outcome was determined in the afternoon singles matches, where the Girls delivered a remarkable performance with a 5-1 win, while the Boys narrowly lost 3.5-4.5.

The Girls’ team achieved a clean sweep by winning all three of their matches against the other home nations, while the Boys also clinched the title despite a loss to Scotland on the final day. This victory marked the sixth successive Home Internationals win for the England Girls and a return to winning ways for the Boys after Ireland’s triumph in 2023.

Standout performers for the Boys included Henry Styles, Monty Holcombe, and Ben Bolton, while Lauren Crump, Sadie Adams, and Ellie Lichtenhein impressed for the Girls. England Golf officials commended the team’s efforts in challenging conditions at Conwy and praised their determination and skill throughout the tournament.

England Golf’s Deputy Performance Director Stephen Burnett and Women’s & Girls’ Assistant Performance Manager India Clyburn expressed pride in the team’s achievements and resilience, highlighting the players’ outstanding performances in difficult playing conditions. The victory at the Home Internationals capped off a successful year for the Girls’ program.

The England Girls team featured talented golfers such as Sadie Adams, Lauren Crump, Ellie Lichtenhein, and more, while the Boys team included standout players like Ben Bolton, Monty Holcombe, and Henry Styles. With their combined efforts and skill, England once again proved their dominance in the Girls’ & Boys’ Home Internationals and continued their winning streak in the tournament.
