Additional Cash Prizes Offered at 2024 World Long Drive World Championships

The 2024 World Long Drive World Championships kicked off in Atlanta at Eagles Landing Country Club in Stockbridge, Georgia. The competition features two divisions, the men’s open division with 96 competitors and the women’s division with 22 competitors, all competing for money and bragging rights over four days. Colton Casto leads the open division with three victories this season, while Mai Dechathipat has two wins in the women’s division, being the only woman to win more than once.

As the championships unfold, the spotlight is on Justin James in the open division for hitting the longest drive of the season at 463 yards, while Dechathipat holds the record in the women’s division with a 387-yard drive. To up the ante, the prize money was adjusted with the open division now offering $40,000 and the women’s division offering $15,000 with additional bonuses for drives exceeding 400 yards and reaching the Newton Landing Zone.

Viewers can catch the excitement of the championships with Saturday’s rounds being live on ESPN+. The women’s final is scheduled to air on Golf Channel on Monday, followed by the open final on Tuesday. Fans can expect intense competition and jaw-dropping long drives as the competitors battle it out in hopes of claiming the title of World Long Drive Champion.
