New Mizuno JPX 925 Irons: Hot Metal, Hot Metal Pro, and Hot Metal HL

The latest addition to the Mizuno JPX Series, the JPX 925 Hot Metal, Hot Metal HL, and Hot Metal Pro irons, are set to be released on September 5 for pre-sale and September 19 in stores. Priced at $150 per club with Nippon N.S. Pro 950 NEO steel shafts and Lamkin UT+ grips, these clubs are designed to offer golfers enhanced ball speed and forgiveness, catering to a wide range of player types.

The Mizuno JPX 925 Hot Metal irons feature a forged stainless steel body with a Nickel Chromoly 4335 cup face and internal tungsten weight, resulting in a thinner face design that provides a larger sweet spot and increased ball speed on off-center hits. This blend of technology and design elements aims to deliver the traditional Mizuno feel and sound while boosting forgiveness and distance for golfers of all levels.

The use of Nickel Chromoly 4335 in the construction of the JPX 925 irons allows for thinner faces across a larger portion of the hitting area, resulting in improved flex at impact. The multi-thickness CORTECH face design, combined with a thinner leading edge, enhances ball speed, especially on mishits. Internal tungsten weights in the 4-iron through 7-iron facilitate a higher launch angle and steeper angle of descent for improved distance control.

A series of reinforcing ribs under the topline, along with a new back bar, helps to improve the sound and feel of the JPX 925 irons at impact, making them more solid and pleasing to the golfer. With three different versions available – the standard Hot Metal, Hot Metal Pro, and Hot Metal HL – golfers have options to suit their preferences and playing styles.

The standard Hot Metal iron is a game-improvement option with strong lofts, appealing to a wide variety of golfers. The Hot Metal Pro version, with a shorter blade length and thinner topline, caters to slightly better players while maintaining the same lofts as the standard version for easy blending. The Hot Metal HL is designed for moderate and slower-swingers, offering weakened lofts for maximum carry distance and height on shots.

Overall, the Mizuno JPX 925 Hot Metal, Hot Metal HL, and Hot Metal Pro irons combine advanced technology, innovative design elements, and superior materials to deliver enhanced performance on the course. Whether you’re looking for more forgiveness, distance, or height in your irons, these clubs provide a versatile and high-quality option for golfers of all levels.
