Top 10 players shaking up the FedEx Cup Fall Standings

The conclusion of the 2024 PGA Tour season brought the FedEx Cup Fall, which provided players the chance to secure full playing rights for the following year by finishing in the top 125 of the standings. This eight-tournament stretch began with the Procore Championship and ended with the RSM Classic. Among the biggest movers during this period were Matt McCarty, Rafael Campos, David Lipsky, Patton Kizzire, Joe Highsmith, Daniel Berger, Nicolai Hojgaard, Sami Valimaki, Brice Garnett, and Davis Riley.

Matt McCarty, who topped the Korn Ferry Tour points list to earn his PGA Tour card, made a strong debut, finishing the season 114th in the standings. Rafael Campos secured a spot in the top 125 with a win at the Butterfield Bermuda Championship, moving up 66 places to finish 82nd. David Lipsky, starting below the cutoff at 165th, rose 68 places to 97th with strong finishes in multiple events.

Patton Kizzire, Joe Highsmith, Daniel Berger, Nicolai Hojgaard, Sami Valimaki, Brice Garnett, and Davis Riley also saw significant movements upward in the rankings during the FedEx Cup Fall. Kizzire’s victory in the Procore Championship lifted him from 134th to 77th, while Highsmith’s strong finishes led to a jump of 50 places to secure full playing privileges.

Daniel Berger’s T2 finish at the RSM Classic propelled him 40 places to 100th, ensuring his spot in the top 125. Nicolai Hojgaard, after opting to play on the DP World Tour, dropped 26 places but still secured full status for the 2025 season. Valimaki and Garnett narrowly held onto their positions in the top 125, finishing 123rd and 111th, respectively.

Players like Alex Smalley, Henrik Norlander, and Greyson Sigg also secured full playing privileges by finishing above the top 125 line after starting below it. However, Zac Blair, SH Kim, Pierceson Coody, Dylan Wu, Kevin Tway, and Matt Wallace were among those who fell below the cutoff, missing out on full status for the 2025 season after struggling during the FedEx Cup Fall.

Overall, the FedEx Cup Fall proved to be a critical period for many players as they vied for full playing rights on the PGA Tour for the following season. The competition was fierce, and some players made remarkable leaps in the standings, while others found themselves on the outside looking in. With the 2025 season on the horizon, these players will need to continue their strong performances to maintain their positions and secure success on the tour.
