Angel Cabrera, the past champion of the Masters and U.S. Open, has made a comeback in the professional golf world after serving 30 months in prison for domestic violence. He has rejoined the PGA Tour Champions and has been competing in tournaments, with a best finish of fourth at the SAS Championship and a recent victory at a Legends Tour event. Cabrera recently participated in the WCW Mexico Senior Open at Pacifico Golf Course in Punta Mita, Mexico, where he is trying to make amends for his past mistakes and live a better life. Despite losing three years on the golf course, Cabrera feels reborn and still has ambitions of winning senior majors.

Cabrera has been working hard on improving his game over the past month and is grateful for the second chance he has been given in the world of professional golf. He mentions that his time in prison was a dark chapter in his life but has helped him understand his mistakes and become a better person. During his time in prison, he learned to live without worldly possessions and has since quit drinking, showcasing a remarkable transformation in his life. Cabrera credits his friends who visited him in prison with providing him with magazines about golf, which helped him stay connected to the sport and improve his game mentally.

Despite facing challenges, Cabrera remains focused on his goal of winning every tournament he plays in, including the U.S. Senior. He expresses gratitude towards his fellow pros in the golfing community who have welcomed him back with open arms and support. Even legends like Ernie Els and Gary Player sent him letters of encouragement while he was in prison, showing the camaraderie in the golfing world. Cabrera feels like he has been born again and is determined to make the most of his second chance in professional golf.

Looking towards the future, Cabrera aims to continue competing at a high level and winning as many tournaments as possible. He remains confident in his abilities and is focused on improving his short game to reach his full potential on the course. With his renewed passion for the game, Cabrera is ready to take on any challenge that comes his way and is grateful for the opportunity to compete once again. Despite his past struggles, Cabrera remains optimistic about his future in professional golf and is determined to make the most of this second chance.
