The Troon Access Grass League Championship is set to take place at Grass Clippings Rolling Hills in Tempe, Arizona, featuring 44 two-person teams comprised of former PGA Tour golfers, a current LPGA golfer, a former Major Leaguer, and a celebrity golf champion. The first fully lit golf course in Arizona, Grass Clippings Rolling Hills is conveniently located just minutes from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport and Arizona State University. The 36-hole scramble tournament will be held over two days on December 5-6, with the first round starting at 5 p.m. on Thursday under the lights, followed by an after-party at 9 p.m. The final round on Friday begins at 1:30 p.m. with an awards ceremony at 9 p.m.

The field for the Troon Access Grass League Championship boasts notable teams such as the Hollywood Hitters, Phoenix United, Minnesota Muskies, Los Angeles Roses, and more. Participants include Mardy Fish, a former World No. 1 tennis player, Mark Mulder, a former Major League pitcher, Sarah Schmelzel, a current LPGA golfer, and Jonathan Kaye, a two-time PGA Tour winner. Andrew Magee, a former PGA Tour player, famously made the first-ever hole-in-one on a par 4 at TPC Scottsdale during the Phoenix Open.

In addition to the tournament, the Grass Clippings Rolling Hills golf course will feature live music, a DJ, food trucks, a beer garden, and hospitality tents to enhance the overall experience for participants and spectators. This premier par-3 league event is sponsored by Troon Access, a new loyalty program, and GolfNow. The Grass Clippings Rolling Hills Golf Course, which first opened nearly 66 years ago, underwent a major renovation to become the first fully lit, 18-hole golf course in Arizona, with a par-63 layout during the day and an all-par-3, par-54 venue at night.

The course features approximately 80 LED lights, nighttime yardages ranging from 100 to nearly 200 yards, multiple elevation changes, and spectacular views of downtown Tempe, downtown Phoenix, and airplanes descending into the airport. The unique design of the course, with clearly marked artificial turf tee boxes for nighttime use, offers a challenging and exciting experience for golfers of all skill levels. The Troon Access Grass League Championship promises to be a thrilling and memorable event for both players and fans, showcasing the talent and skill of top athletes from various sports on a one-of-a-kind golf course setting.
