Justin Thomas finds himself in the lead going into the final round of the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas, with a one-stroke lead over world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler. Thomas shot a bogey-free 6-under 66 in the third round to improve his total score to 17-under 199. Despite feeling like he didn’t play as well as the previous days, Thomas made more putts and managed to secure the lead.

For the last 51 holes, Thomas has been bogey-free, with his only bogey coming in the opening round. He attributed his improved putting performance to the tough conditions on the course and his drive to make a comeback. Utilizing a 46-inch driver this week, Thomas managed to drive the green at the seventh hole and secure a birdie.

Having recently welcomed the birth of his first child, daughter Molly, Thomas has been inspired to perform well and has been working on his game. With top-five finishes in his recent appearances at the Hero World Challenge, Thomas is determined to secure a victory and add another milestone to his career by winning the tournament.

On the other hand, defending champion Scottie Scheffler, who shot a 69 in the third round, is not entirely pleased with his performance so far, despite a solid 64 in the second round. Scheffler expressed frustration with some missed putts and considered his play to be decent overall. He aims to finish off strong in the final round and secure another victory at the Hero World Challenge.

Another standout performer in the third round was Tom Kim, who shot an impressive 10-under 62, including 12 birdies, setting a personal record. Despite a slow start, Kim was able to turn his game around by making a small adjustment that improved his play. His ability to score low in challenging conditions impressed his competitors, including Scheffler.

Kim’s standout moment came on the 18th hole, where he holed a bunker shot for birdie, showcasing his skill and confidence on the course. With a strong performance in the third round, Kim moved up the leaderboard to solo third, just two strokes behind the leader, Justin Thomas. His ability to adapt and make quick improvements in his game has set him up for a potential strong finish in the final round.

As the final round approaches, Thomas, Scheffler, and Kim will be looking to maintain their momentum and perform at their best to secure a victory at the Hero World Challenge. The competition is fierce, with each player bringing their own unique strengths and strategies to the course. Fans can expect an exciting finish as the top players battle it out for the tournament title.
