How this hosel could revolutionize Cobra’s fairway woods and hybrids

Cobra’s new DS-ADAPT line of metal woods features the innovative FutureFit33 hosel and SmartPad technology, offering 33 settings of loft and lie adjustability in one club. The VP of architecture at Cobra, Jose Miraflor, believes that this technology will particularly benefit fairway woods, as they are often the most challenging clubs to fit golfers for. He explains that many players require flatter lie angles in fairway woods, and the FutureFit33 hosel allows for adjustments of up to two degrees, independent of loft settings and face angles. This level of customization can help golfers improve their fairway wood game and find the right setup for their swing.

Miraflor also points out the advantages of using the FutureFit33 hosel in hybrids, where better players often struggle with a left miss. The ability to adjust the lie angle independently of loft and face angle can help players optimize their hybrid clubs for maximum performance. Despite the 33 settings available with the FutureFit33 hosel, Miraflor assures players that the adjustment process is not overly complicated. By identifying their miss and referencing the included chart, golfers can easily determine which settings to try in order to improve their performance on the course.

In addition to the hosel technology, Cobra’s DS-ADAPT line includes other features designed to enhance performance. For example, the Custom Hybrid in the line features an internal adaptive weighting system that positions the center of gravity lower and more forward to reduce spin and increase speed creation. The larger H.O.T. face insert delivers improved face flex for enhanced distance and ball speeds, while the forgiveness and high launch capabilities of the club make it a valuable addition to any golfer’s bag. These features work together to help players achieve optimal performance on the course.

For those interested in experiencing the benefits of the DS-ADAPT line, Cobra offers fitting locations through True Spec Golf where players can find the right setup for their game. By working with a professional fitter, players can ensure that their clubs are optimized for their swing characteristics and playing style. With the combination of advanced technology, innovative design, and expert fitting, Cobra’s DS-ADAPT line represents a significant advancement in the world of golf equipment. Whether you’re looking to improve your fairway wood game or optimize your hybrid club performance, the DS-ADAPT line has something to offer for golfers of all skill levels.
