The golfing season for 2024 may be coming to an end, but exciting changes are potentially on the horizon for the LIV Golf League as they gear up for the fourth season. CEO Greg Norman is set to be replaced, with rumors swirling about his next move. Additionally, talks are reportedly underway for a potential broadcast deal for next year, with Fox Sports and LIV Golf in discussions to showcase the 54-hole League on the network’s channels. This marks a potential shift from the current broadcasting arrangement with the CW Network in the US.

Reports indicate that the contract with the CW Network will not be renewed for a third season, prompting LIV Golf to explore new broadcasting options. In the UK, LIV Golf continues to be available on its free-to-watch YouTube channel. Prior to the deal with the CW Network, LIV Golf was in talks with Fox Sports in 2022, indicating a longstanding interest in partnering with the network. This potential collaboration would bring LIV Golf tournaments to a wider audience through Fox Sports’ cable channels.

In addition to the broadcast discussions, it has been reported that Merlin Entertainments CEO Scott O’Neil is set to replace Greg Norman as the CEO of LIV Golf. O’Neil was reportedly present at The Showdown in Las Vegas, where he played in the pro-am event with Jordan Bazant, EVP of business development and media for Fox Sports. The Showdown featured top golfers from both the PGA Tour and LIV Golf, setting the stage for an exciting season ahead.

The upcoming LIV Golf season is already generating buzz, with players like Rory McIlroy, Scottie Scheffler, Bryson DeChambeau, and Brooks Koepka set to compete in the League’s first event in Riyadh in February 2025. The League’s focus on attracting top talent and creating engaging tournaments has captivated fans and sponsors alike. With potential changes in leadership and broadcasting deals, the future looks promising for LIV Golf as they continue to innovate and grow in the competitive golf landscape.

As details continue to emerge about the potential Fox Sports deal and leadership changes within LIV Golf, fans and industry insiders are eager to see how these developments will shape the upcoming season. Fox Sports has yet to comment on the reports, while Golf Monthly has reached out to LIV Golf for additional insights. The evolving landscape of golf broadcasting and league management signals a dynamic environment for players, fans, and stakeholders alike. Stay tuned for more updates on the exciting developments in store for the LIV Golf League in 2025.
