Boosting Max Greyserman’s Season with a New Addition to his Bag

PGA Tour rookie Max Greyserman had an outstanding 2024 season, finishing with three runner-up finishes and earning nearly $4.3 million in prize money. He climbed to No. 35 in the world ranking and joined Colt Knost and Drew Stoltz for a chat where he discussed his season, living in Jupiter, Fla., and his recovery from wrist surgery. Greyserman also revealed that he likes to tinker with his gear setup, especially his driver.

Greyserman admitted that he switches driver heads frequently during tournaments and plays with an ultra-forgiving driver model to help his game. He praised the Callaway Paradym mini driver, which he had been advocating for years before finally getting it in his bag. Greyserman explained that his mini driver helped him improve the accuracy and distance off the tee, which was lacking with his 3-wood. He shared that he used the mini driver in all three of his runner-up finishes this season.

The Callaway Paradym Ai Smoke Ti 340 Mini Driver, which Greyserman uses, is designed to provide exceptional ball speeds with tight dispersion. It also features the world’s first Ai Smart Face, which optimizes driver performance using swing dynamics data from real golfers. The driver’s micro deflections create multiple sweet spots for improved performance on off-center shots. The front and back weighting of the driver allows players to customize their launch and spin numbers.

Greyserman’s mini driver has a loft of 13.3 degrees at a 5-wood length of 42.5 inches. Despite its unconventional look, Greyserman found it to be a powerful tool in his game. He joked that it looks like a kid’s club but emphasized its impact on his performance. Greyserman encouraged others to try the mini driver and see the results for themselves. He believes that it has significantly improved his game and contributed to his success on the course.

In addition to discussing his gear setup, Greyserman shared anecdotes about his experiences on the Tour, including living among his fellow players in Jupiter, Fla. He also talked about his recovery from wrist surgery, highlighting the challenges he faced and how he overcame them to have a successful season. Greyserman’s passion for golf and dedication to improving his game were evident throughout the conversation, showcasing his commitment to excellence in his performances.

For more insights from Greyserman, viewers can watch the full episode of the chat with Colt Knost and Drew Stoltz. In the episode, Greyserman shares entertaining stories about his time on the Tour, including the most annoying habit he recalls about his ex-roommate, Wyndham Clark. The conversation provides a behind-the-scenes look at the life of a PGA Tour rookie and sheds light on the dedication and hard work required to succeed in professional golf.
