Confirmed LIV Golfers for 2025: The Newest Additions

The LIV Golf League is set to welcome some exciting new players for the 2025 season, with three fresh additions already confirmed and the possibility of more to come. The season is scheduled to kick off in early February, with 13 teams of four players each competing for both Individual and Team titles throughout the year. The new players joining the league bring a youthful and up-and-coming talent to the roster, showcasing the league’s commitment to promoting emerging stars in the golf world.

One of the new players joining LIV Golf for 2025 is Chieh-po Lee, a 30-year-old golfer from Taipei who secured his spot on the tour by winning the LIV Golf Promotions event in Saudi Arabia in December. Lee has been a professional golfer since 2015 and has already claimed two professional wins, including the Asian Tour’s International Series Thailand event in 2024. Despite his success, Lee has yet to be drafted to a team for the upcoming season, leaving open the possibility for him to play as a wildcard or join a team in the near future.

Another new addition to the LIV Golf League for 2025 is Korea’s Yubin Jang, a 22-year-old talent who caught the eye of Iron Heads GC captain Kevin Na. Jang turned professional in late 2023 after winning gold for the South Korean team at the 2023 Asian Games, exempting him from mandatory military service. In his first year as a pro in 2024, Jang dominated the Korean Tour, claiming the money list title and Player of the Year honors with two wins and five runner-up finishes. With his impressive track record, Jang is poised to be a rising star in the golf world.

Denmark’s Frederik Kjettrup is the third new player to join LIV Golf for the upcoming season, replacing the relegated Kalle Samooja on Martin Kaymer’s Cleeks GC team. Kjettrup, a promising young player, turned professional in 2024 after a successful college career at Florida State University, where he won three college titles and several amateur championships. His transition to the professional ranks has been smooth, with three wins on the PGA Tour Americas and a solid 8th-place finish in the 2023 PGA Tour University rankings earning him status on the tour.

With open spots on several teams in the league, including Legion XIII, Fireballs, Stinger, and RangeGoats, there is a possibility of up to four more players joining LIV Golf before the start of the 2025 season in Riyadh. The league continues to attract top talent from around the world, providing a platform for emerging golfers to showcase their skills and compete at the highest level. As the season approaches, fans can look forward to seeing more new faces on the tour and witnessing the next generation of golf stars rise to prominence in the LIV Golf League.
