The 2025 Masters is halfway through, and Justin Rose is leading at eight under. The cut has been made, with 53 players making it through and 42 players missing it. Among the notable players missing the cut are Dustin Johnson, Russell Henley, Bernhard Langer, Phil Mickelson, Sergio Garcia, Brooks Koepka, Sepp Straka, Cameron Smith, Will Zalatoris, and Nick Dunlap.

Dustin Johnson, the 2020 champ, missed the cut by a shot after finishing three over par. Russell Henley, who has been performing well on Tour, struggled at Augusta and missed the cut by one shot despite a second-round improvement. Bernhard Langer, in his final Masters appearance at age 67, missed the cut with a score of three over par.

Phil Mickelson, despite his age, was not able to turn back the clock and missed the cut with scores of 75 and 74. Sergio Garcia, who has been playing well leading up to the Masters, missed the cut by two shots. Brooks Koepka, a five-time major winner, missed the cut in spectacular fashion with an 8 on the final hole.

Sepp Straka, entering the week at second in the FedEx Cup standings, missed the cut for the first time in his career. Cameron Smith, known for his success at Augusta, struggled this week and missed the cut by four shots. Will Zalatoris, who had never finished worse than T9 at Augusta, struggled with seven bogeys and four doubles to miss the cut.

Nick Dunlap, the former U.S. Am champ, had a nightmarish opening round where he posted a 90 but showed resilience by returning in the second round and shooting a one-under 71. These players missing the cut at the Masters shows the unpredictability of golf and the challenges of playing at Augusta National.
