Bettinardi’s 2025 Irons: Which Finish Will You Choose?

When Bettinardi first stepped into the iron game with their debut models in 2024, it was a big moment. Players had a simple choice: muscle-back or cavity-back. Fast forward to 2025, though, and things just got a little tougher. Now, you’ve gotta pick a finish: will you go for the striking Black Rainbow or the elegant Oil-Rubbed Bronze? Let’s dive into what makes these limited-edition irons a must-consider for your bag.

New Finishes, Same Stellar Build

Both the Bettinardi CB24 and MB24 irons offer the same impressive construction as last year but come decked out in eye-catching new finishes. If you wanted anything special before, it required a bit of luck (and a healthy wallet) to snag one from The Hive. But as of today, Bettinardi is making it easier for everyone to grab these beauties.

Starting now, pre-orders are officially open. Whether you swing left or right, you can snag either the dramatically dark Black Rainbow PVD or the timeless Oil-Rubbed Bronze PVD. But before we dig into the finishes, let’s remind ourselves of what makes these irons special.

The Essentials: Bettinardi MB24 and CB24 Irons

Back in March 2024, Bettinardi entered the iron market like a kid showing off new toys. Known mainly for their putters, it surprised many when they launched their iron sets. They introduced two distinct categories: the muscle-back MB24 blades cater to better players, while the cavity-back CB24 irons aim for enhanced forgiveness. They might not be labeled "super game-improvement," but they certainly offer a helping hand where it counts.

Both sets are crafted from 1025 carbon steel and incorporate tungsten and military-grade ceramic matrix composite (CMC) elements, strategically placed before forging. This precision means a well-balanced center of gravity in each head, allowing for finer control over launch, spin, and gapping values. It’s like having a custom-made suit just for your swing.

Cool New Finishes

Now onto the exciting part: those shiny new finishes! The Bettinardi MB24 and CB24 irons retain their original build characteristics, but the slick Diamond Blast finish has been swapped out for the two new options that are seriously eye-catching. Sam Bettinardi, the big man at Bettinardi Golf, said it best: “With these new finishes, we set out to bring the visual energy and attention to detail from our putter line to our forged irons.” Ain’t that the truth?

Normally, I’d roll my eyes at a company remixing a product with a new paint job. But, honestly? These finishes have got me drooling. They look so good that I can’t even muster up skepticism.

Getting into the nitty-gritty of your iron purchase? Bettinardi’s got you covered with numerous build choices. Pick your desired loft, lie, length, shaft, grip—then pick your finish. It’s like being a kid in a candy store for golfers!

Oil-Rubbed Bronze: Classic Charm

First up, let’s take a look at the Oil-Rubbed Bronze option. This finish harkens back to a classic look that’s sure to make a statement. Picture swinging a club that feels as if it’s been around since the days of yore—it exudes both age and elegance. If you want your irons to stand out on the course for their craftsmanship alone, this is the way to go.

Black Rainbow: A Pop of Color

On the flip side, we’ve got the Black Rainbow finish. This option is pure artistry in metal form. The colors play off each other beautifully, drawing the eye in and enhancing the iconic Bettinardi hexagons. It’s perfect for players who want something that feels modern and vibrant. My choice? I went with the Black Rainbow for my CB24s because I just can’t get enough of how stunning they look.

Pre-Orders: Grab Yours Now!

Ready to snag your own set? You’re in luck! Pre-orders for these beauties are officially happening. I’ve already pulled the trigger on my Black Rainbow CB24s. I can’t wait to take them out for a spin and show them off on the range.

If you’re in the Chicago area and want a fitting session, don’t forget to check out Bettinardi’s Studio B facility. Their expert fitters will help you choose the best setup so you don’t just look good with your new clubs—you’ll perform great, too.

What’s Your Pick?

So, what’s it going to be? Will you choose the timeless elegance of Oil-Rubbed Bronze or the eye-catching flair of Black Rainbow? It’s a tough call, I know! Personally, I love the way the colors in Black Rainbow catch the sunlight. I expect the non-cavity parts may show some wear over time, but I think those colorful cavities should keep their appeal.

Do let me know in the comments which finish you’re leaning towards! I’ll be keeping an eye out for your choices, and I’ll check back in with some hands-on pics and my first impressions swinging these bad boys.

Want to learn more or pre-order your own set? Head over to Bettinardi.com to see the magic for yourself!

Whether you’re just starting your golf journey or you’re a seasoned pro, these new Bettinardi irons are bound to elevate your game. Don’t miss out on the chance to add a little flair to your golf bag this season!
