Cobra Unveils the New OPTM Metalwoods and Hybrids for Exceptional Performance

Cobra has officially launched its new lineup of OPTM metalwoods and hybrids, designed to elevate your game on the golf course. This innovative series includes three metalwood models—LS, X, and Max—each packed with cutting-edge technology aimed at enhancing performance.

Key Technologies in Cobra OPTM Woods

The OPTM family features several advanced technologies, making these clubs an attractive option for golfers at all skill levels:

  • Product of Inertia (POI): While traditional Moment of Inertia (MOI) focuses on the clubhead’s resistance to twisting, POI measures how it rotates diagonally across all axes. This innovation enables tighter dispersion down range by balancing the effects of off-center hits.

  • AI-Optimized POI Shaping: Each metalwood in the OPTM family employs unique AI-optimized shaping to enhance rotational stability and center of gravity (CG) placement. The rounded clubhead shapes help position the CG centrally while utilizing strategically placed external weights for lower POI.

  • FutureFit33 Adjustable Hosel System: Golfers can enjoy 33 unique loft and lie settings, adjustable on the spot. This feature allows for quick customization in fitting studios, at home, or on the driving range.

  • H.O.T. Face Technology: Featuring a forged face insert with 15 hot spots, this technology aims to provide greater consistency in ball speeds and distance across the face.

In-Depth Look at the Cobra OPTM Metalwoods

1. OPTM LS Titanium – $469

The LS model is engineered for maximum ball speed and accuracy. Key features include:

  • Face Design: A deep face and the lowest spin rates among the OPTM models.
  • Moveable Weights: Includes 3g, 11g, and 14g weights in rear, heel, and toe areas for optimized POI.
  • CG Location: Designed for the fastest speed within the OPTM family.

  • 3W (14.5 degrees)
  • 3 HF (16 degrees)
  • 5W (17.5 degrees)

2. OPTM X – $369

Cobra OPTM X

The OPTM X offers a well-rounded mix of speed and forgiveness, featuring:

  • CG Location: A mid-position with a medium face height.
  • Weights: Incorporates 3g and 17g weights in the rear and toe for customizable performance.

  • 3W (15 degrees)
  • 3HF (16.5 degrees)
  • 5W (18 degrees)
  • 7W (21 degrees)
  • 9W (24 degrees)

3. OPTM Max – $329

Cobra OPTM Max

The Max model prioritizes forgiveness and features:

  • CG Bias: A back and heel biased CG for higher stability with a shallower face.
  • Weight Ports: Contains 14g and 3g moveable weights for tailored performance.
