After a successful season on the PGA Tour, Collin Morikawa fell just short of winning the Tour Championship, finishing in second place behind Scottie Scheffler. Despite not securing a victory at the tournament, Morikawa performed well, posting a final-round 5-under 66 and earning $12.5 million in bonus money. This marked his seventh top-five finish of the season, showcasing his consistency in contending for titles.

Throughout the season, Morikawa had multiple opportunities to win but was unable to finish on top. As a six-time Tour winner with two majors under his belt, he is focused on remembering his victories rather than dwelling on missed opportunities. Despite not winning the Tour Championship, Morikawa did achieve the lowest score for 72 holes at East Lake Golf Club without starting strokes, winning the “ghost leaderboard” with a score of 22-under 262.

Although there is no physical trophy associated with winning the ghost leaderboard, Morikawa still sees it as an accomplishment. Moving forward, he understands the importance of performing well in final rounds to secure victories. Throughout the season, he made significant improvements in areas of weakness, such as his Strokes Gained statistics in putting and around the green.

Morikawa acknowledges that his iron play may have been a weak point in his game this season, but he remains confident in his abilities to make necessary adjustments. Looking ahead to future seasons, Morikawa is focused on refining his iron game and returning to the winner’s circle. Despite the challenges he faced this season, Morikawa is optimistic about his upcoming performances and aims to have a successful 2025 campaign.

As he continues to work on his game and address areas of improvement, Morikawa is determined to achieve more victories in the future. With his strong work ethic and dedication to honing his skills, he is poised for continued success on the PGA Tour. Fans can expect to see Morikawa competing at a high level and contending for titles in the years to come, showcasing his talent and determination on the golf course.

In conclusion, Collin Morikawa had an impressive season on the PGA Tour, showcasing his talent and consistency throughout the year. While he fell short at the Tour Championship, he remains focused on his ultimate goal of securing more victories and adding to his trophy collection. With a strong work ethic and a drive to improve, Morikawa is well-positioned for continued success in the world of professional golf. Fans can look forward to watching him compete at the highest level and see him achieve even greater success in the future.
