England Golf has announced the National Men’s Squad and National Boys’ Squad for the 2024/25 season. The Men’s Squad includes Tom Osborne, Ben Bolton, Daniel Hayes, and returning player Harley Smith. Will Hopkins, Matthew Dodd-Berry, Tyler Weaver, Dylan Shaw-Radford, Josh Hill, and Jack Bigham are also named in the squad. In the Boys’ Squad, Harry Cox, Charlie Croker, Oscar Lent, Sam Marshall, and Charlie Rusbridge are new additions.

Several players from last year’s Men’s Squad have turned professional, showcasing the opportunities available through the England Golf Player Performance Pathway. Ben Gorvett, the Men’s Performance Manager, expressed excitement for the upcoming season, highlighting major competitions such as the World Junior Championship, World Amateur Team Championships, and the Walker Cup.

The focus for the upcoming season is on developing players and helping them reach their full potential. England Golf aims to provide a platform for talented golfers to improve and achieve success in the game. The goal is to not only compete but also win medals in various competitions throughout the season.

James Claridge and Charlie Crockett have transitioned to professional status, while Zach Chegwidden is expected to follow suit soon. The addition of Tom Osborne and the progression of Ben Bolton and Daniel Hayes from the Boys’ Squad demonstrate the growth and development within the England Golf program.

Returning player Harley Smith had a stellar 2024 season, earning his spot back on the Men’s Squad for the upcoming year. With a mix of experienced players and newcomers, the squads are ready to face challenges and compete at a high level in national and international tournaments.

The Men’s Squad features a mix of seasoned players and those entering their second, third, or even fourth season representing England. Jack Bigham, in particular, is set for his fourth season with the team, showcasing consistency and dedication to the sport.

The Boys’ Squad also includes promising young talent, with all five players new to the squad after impressive performances in recent seasons. England Golf is committed to nurturing and supporting the next generation of golfers, providing them with the opportunities and resources to succeed in the sport.

Overall, the announcement of the National Men’s Squad and National Boys’ Squad for the 2024/25 season sets the stage for an exciting year of development, competition, and growth within the England Golf program. As players continue to progress and reach new heights, the future looks promising for English golf on both the national and international stages.
