The 2024 PGA Tour season has come to a close, with Maverick McNealy securing his first PGA Tour victory at the RSM Classic. Despite his success as a former top-ranked amateur, McNealy had struggled to clinch a win on Tour. However, his victory at the RSM Classic could potentially lead to a breakout 2025 season for him. While winning on the PGA Tour is challenging, McNealy’s consistency and skill set make him a contender for future success.

In contrast, Joel Dahmen narrowly secured his spot within the top 125 players to keep his PGA Tour card for 2025. Dahmen’s Sunday performance at the RSM Classic, finishing with a 64, highlighted his potential for more success in the upcoming season. His journey from struggling to adjusting to newfound fame showcases the ups and downs of professional golf. His presence on the PGA Tour adds an entertaining and relatable element to the sport.

The 2024 PGA Tour season revealed the competitiveness and unpredictability of professional golf. Young talents like Scottie Scheffler showcased their potential for dominating performances, challenging the belief that a Tiger-like run was no longer possible in the sport. Scheffler’s success against top competitors demonstrates the depth of talent in today’s golf landscape. Additionally, ongoing negotiations between the PGA Tour and PIF have overshadowed on-course performances, creating a sense of uncertainty among players and fans.

The 2024 LPGA season concluded with Jeeno Thitikul winning the CME Group Tour Championship and Nelly Korda securing her seventh victory. Despite Korda’s remarkable season, marked by injuries and missed opportunities, there is speculation about her ability to match or surpass this achievement in the future. Korda’s determination and skill set make her a contender for continued success, but the increasing depth of talent on the LPGA Tour poses challenges for consistent victories.
